If you're treating Black Ops 7 Zombies like it's just point-and-shoot, you'll feel it the moment the rounds get messy. The runs that actually last are the ones where you lean into what's strong and stay consistent. I started doing that after a few rough wipes, and even warming up in a CoD BO7 Bot Lobby made it obvious which tools carry and which ones are just noise when the pressure's on.


The Necrofluid Gauntlet is the first pickup that changes how you play, because it replaces your basic melee with something that still deletes zombies long after your gun starts feeling like a pea shooter. You'll notice it right away: you're not backing up and reloading as much, you're stepping in and ending the problem. If you want to push it harder, stack Melee Macchiato with the Strength Training augment. The swing speed gets silly, the damage stays relevant, and the heal-on-hit is what saves you when you get body-blocked in a doorway. It's not flashy. It's just reliable, and that's what you need in high rounds.

A lot of players wait until wave 16 to deal with Zursa, then act surprised when the fight eats their whole setup. You can pull that purple-eyed bear out earlier by shooting the three skulls near the Zarya Cosmodrome, and yes, it's risky if your team isn't ready. But if you time it right, it's basically a points coupon. Toss a Hunter Bot as soon as it shows, and in the early game it chunks an absurd amount of health before the match ramps up. While you're out there, watch the Ravager like a hawk. If it starts doing that Monkey Bomb-style wiggle, it's not showing off. It's about to dip with your loot, and you'll be mad at yourself if you let it leave.

Movement tricks matter more than people want to admit. On Ashes of the Damned, that bridge drop has ended so many decent runs because someone panics and faceplants. You don't need Stamin-Up for it. Just hold crouch as you fall to trigger the Combat Roll on landing, and the damage gets soaked like it's nothing. When you're stretched out across the map and you're low on ammo or tacticals, call in your D.A.W.G. and flip it to Sentry Mode. There's a prompt on its back that hands out supplies, so you're not sprinting back to an ammo box while the round keeps climbing.

The Veytharion fight has one big trap: people burn boost like it's required, when normal rams do the same damage and still pop the vitals. Save the fuel for positioning and escapes, not for empty flex hits. If you want the vehicle to pull its weight, slap a Point Turret on the roof and keep driving; it keeps firing while you move, which turns the whole setup into a rolling safe zone. And if you're the type who likes to have options between rounds, grabbing extra gear or currency through U4GM can help you lock in a loadout faster, so you spend less time scrambling and more time actually playing the map.
